After Historic Mamdani Win, ICE Courts NYPD Officers
“NYPD OFFICERS: Join an agency that respects you, your family, and your commitment to serving in law enforcement. JOIN.ICE.GOV," ICE posted on social media.
Just two days after Zohran Mamdani’s extraordinary victory, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is courting New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers.
ICE posted on Instagram:
The caption reads: “NYPD OFFICERS: Join an agency that respects you, your family, and your commitment to serving in law enforcement.
JOIN.ICE.GOV”
On Tuesday night, Mamdani secured an unprecedented victory in New York City’s mayoral race. A proud socialist, he ran on a platform focused on making the city a place where people can live, not just survive. He defeated primary loser and disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who ran a racist, anti-Muslim campaign, backed by billionaires.
