The caption for the post says: “27 days later… Democrats are STILL making this harder than it has to be. Put America First. Open the Government. DEMOCRAT SHUTDOWN.”
Actors featured in the clips include:
Amy Poehler (“Parks and Rec”)
Wallace Shawn (“The Princess Bride”)
Steve Carrell (“The Office”)
Marisa Tomei (“My Cousin Vinny”)
Meryl Streep (“The Devil Wears Prada”)
The Trump administration often uses popular culture to advance its fascist agenda.
Last night, the White House posted an AI-generated image of Trump as Master Chief, the protagonist of the video game franchise, Halo, in response to GameStop’s announcement that Halo: Campaign Evolved, formerly an Xbox exclusive, is coming to PlayStation in 2026. In the image, the American flag has the incorrect number of stars.
GameStop posted its own AI-images — one of Trump shaking Master Chief’s hand in the White House and another of Trump as Master Chief.
Gamers have called for a boycott of the company to protest its apparent support of Trump.
“It would be shameful if #BoycottGameStop was trending,” @PawlowskiMario posted.
